Now, I have time to write a bit more about this.
This is also one of the methods people used to estimate the systematic errors. Another member has written some method to handle the systematic errors.
Here is an example, we have 100 people said they will vote for Trump, and 80 people said they will vote for Biden. We do beleive that they all tell the truth. Now, suppose that we think 10% of these people are lying and want to estimate the systematic error due to this 10% lying.
So, we will take 100 * 10% = 10 people out of Trump's supporters, and we also take 8 people out of Bdien's supporters. Finally, we add these people to the other group, sp now we have 98 people will votes for Tremp aqnd 82 people will votes for Biden.
We let the computer do the same calculation to get the final poll result.
The difference between these two results: , one for 100 Trump voters and 80 Biden voters; and the second one for 98 Trump voters and 82 Biden voters, is the estimated errors associated for 10% of people of lying.
