(3) Comparing different countries with completely different environments itself is completely wrong. If you want to determine whether the vaccine is useful, then the best method is to set up an experiment in the laboratory. In this example, we set up a control group of people which have not received the vaccine, and a test group of people which have received the vaccine. There are no other significant differences between these two groups of people. Therefore, we can conclude that any differences in result are due vaccination.
(4) If you want to know the effect of the vaccine, that it is better to compare the data in the same country itself. If you compare Russia or Singapore now and the past (when no vaccines had been administrated), then the conclusion is more likely to be correct: Both Russia and Singapore have set national records of new deaths in this week. So more people get killed by the Chinese virus when there are more vaccinations.
(5) What you said about UK is completely rubbish for one more reason: the data from England shows that the vaccine helps the Chinese virus to kill us.

The following is what I said somewhere else about this issue on 11/8/2021:
The most transparent data comes from the England which tells us that the vaccinated people are more likely to be killed by the Covid-19 vaccine than unvaccinated people. More vaccinated people are dying of COVID than unvaccinated people, according to a recent report from Public Health England (PHE). At first glance, this may seem alarming, but it is exactly as would be expected.
Here’s a simple thought experiment: imagine everyone is now fully vaccinated with COVID vaccines – which are excellent but can’t save all lives. Some people who get infected with COVID will still die. All of these people will be fully vaccinated – 100%. That doesn’t mean vaccines aren’t effective at reducing death.

The above explanation is rubbish and is a lie. At the time of writing the above essay, mid-July, there were more vaccinated people than unvaccinated people in England. However, the data covered the period from February 1 and June 21. In this period, the average number vaccinated people in England is fewer than the unvaccinated people.

As you can see from this table, there were more unvaccinated people presentation to emergency care result in overnight inpatient admission (1,738, 2,960), but fewer unvaccinated people got killed by the virus (253 deaths). Furthermore, more vaccinated people who have received 2 doses of vaccine being killed by the virus(402 deaths) than those who have received only 1 dose of the vaccine for more than 21 days (69 deaths), which in turn is more than those who have received only 1 dose of the vaccine for less than 21 days (10 deaths).

So, one may conclude that the vaccines are actually helping the virus to kill us.

Notice England is the only '"country" that actually provides us the vaccination data What we read from all other countries is the interpretation of the vaccination data by their governments.
The sad thing is that the only data avialable to the general public shows that the vaccines are helping the Chinese virus to kill us.

A leading scientist in Netherthand was very upset and want to un-friend me after I told him that the data from England showed that more fully vaccinated people has been killed by the Chinese virus than unvaccinated people.

Here is my reply (to him) on 12/8/2021:
As a world leading scientist, you should know that the effectiveness of the vaccines belongs to the domain of observational sciences in which we cannot control a lot of governing factors as we can in experimental sciences. Any data on the vaccines is subjected to a lot of un-controlled factors so that it is very hard to draw the correct conclusion. This is the kind of issues we need to consider when we interpret the data.

It is so sad that you (should be an outstanding scientist) ignore the data that opposes your opinion. Please recall this statement that make us (the scientists) proud of:

Even a fool will gather information that supports him/her.
But only the scientists will gather information that opposes them.

I am worrying that un-informed people just believe what they want to believe, such as, vaccines are all good. Please consider this fact:

I have a lot more to say about Russia in additional to what I have said about the tests. However, I am too busy to write now. For short, the problem is the fault of teh Russian government who encourage people to take the rapid antibody test. The Russian government blames the people tnot getting the jab. The truth is that the Russian government tell those tested positively people that they do not need to take the jab.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(16)日公布國內新增11例COVID-19確定病例，分別為1例本土及10例境外移入；另確診個案中無新增死亡。

指揮中心表示，今日新增1例本土個案(案16446)，為印尼籍30多歲女性，今(2021)年10月15日因離境需求自費採檢，並於今日確診(Ct值37.3，住院後採檢之核酸檢驗陰性、血清抗體陽性)。個案採檢時並無症狀，衛生單位已匡列3名接觸者列居家隔離，將持續進行社區調查與防治，以釐清感染源。

指揮中心說明，今日新增10例境外移入個案，為6例男性、4例女性，年齡介於10多歲至50多歲，分別自美國(3例，案16436、案16443、案16444)、日本(案16437)、印尼(2例，案16438、案16440)、馬來西亞(案16439)、菲律賓(案16441)、英國(案16442)及柬埔寨(案16445)入境，入境日介於10月1日至10月14日，皆持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告；詳如新聞稿附件。

中年男針後3周心肌梗塞亡 死後仍不斷收訊息提醒打第2針

再有接種新冠疫苗後死亡個案。一名66歲葉姓男子，為了任職校巴司機，在政府的要求下被迫接種疫苗。不過，他在8月底接種一劑由內地研發的科興疫苗，約3星期後便因心肌梗塞死亡，死後仍獲政府訊息提醒接種已預約的第2劑疫苗。妻子對丈夫突然離世本已傷心欲絕，還多次收到預約打針的訊息，感到十分疑惑及悲憤，質疑政府的辦事能力。

讀者葉太向東網指，其66歲丈夫有吸煙習慣，亦需長期服用血壓藥物。他於本年8月30日在官涌體育館接種第1劑科興疫苗後，9月18日凌晨呼吸困難，立即入院，9月20日因心肌梗塞在將軍澳醫院死亡。

葉太指丈夫打針是為了接任校巴司機的工作，因當時政府宣布校巴司機及跟車保母等非教學人員，須在9月1日起接種最少一針新冠疫苗，否則要每兩周自費進行鼻腔和咽喉合併拭子檢測一次，並須於工時以外進行。其任職校巴司機的朋友便提醒死者盡快打針，以符合政府規定。葉太表示若非政府迫針，其丈夫根本不會身亡。

丈夫遂於8月30日接種第1劑疫苗，亦預約了9月27日打第2劑疫苗，惟葉太發現死者的電話仍不時收到政府提醒死者盡快接種第2劑疫苗的訊息，指政府訊息混亂，直言「人都死咗，點解仲有訊息叫人打針！」

葉太稱因不希望丈夫被解剖，故已火化遺體，並指自己並不要求政府賠償，只想投訴政府的辨事能力及正視其迫針後果，又質疑衞生署只會一如既往地回覆指，其丈夫不屬於曾在離世前14日內的接種疫苗人士，將草率地總結此死亡個案與疫苗接種沒有因果關係。

東網正向衞生署了解有關個案，包括醫管局有否呈報疫苗接種異常事件報告及專家委員會會否監察有關情況。

日本東京都新增29宗確診 今年最低新增數字

新加坡明起增8國旅客 已接種疫苗入境後可不需隔離

新加坡擴大開放邊境，明天起已完成疫苗接種的8個國家旅客，起程時及抵埗後的檢測呈陰性，入境新加坡後不需隔離。

這8個國家包括英國、加拿大、丹麥、法國、意大利、荷蘭、西班牙及美國。預料南韓11月中會加入名單內。

新加坡由9月起，已經與德國及汶萊試行這項疫苗接種者入境計劃。

南韓新增1050宗新型肺炎確診病例，是7月7日以來的新低；另外多8 人死亡。

田北辰估計中央因疫情拒譚耀宗赴京屬表態

全國人大常委譚耀宗接獲國家防疫部門通知，不批准出席稍後在北京舉行的人大常委會會議。全國人大代表、立法會議員田北辰表示，他與專家亦商討過，看不到今次中央的決定是否純粹從衛生角度看。他說今次會議商討的事情雖然不太與香港有關，但在6月及8月的例會，人大常委亦有獲邀出席。

田北辰在本台節目《千禧年代》說，據他個人估計，中央今次的決定屬於表態，認為香港方面「講極都唔聽」，包括本港出現有輸入確診個案、檢疫酒店會出現走漏個案，及有獲豁免檢疫的領事館人員確診等，他認為本港可以考慮把可獲豁免檢疫人士的名單縮窄。

至於本港與內地商討免隔離通關，田北辰認為，本港可以考慮要求進入內地的人士，裝設實名制、並附有追蹤功能的健康碼，可以讓內地人員追蹤到過去14日去過的地方。

出席同一節目的呼吸系統專科醫生梁子超說，本港近兩星期在社區發現3宗確診個案，情況較令人擔心。他認為，現時檢測高危組別未有加密次數，加上獲豁免人士「五花八門」及住在多層大廈作家居檢疫，批評有關政策是自相矛盾。

CDC places ultramodern city-state at highest travel risk for Covid-19

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added one new location to its list of "very high" risk travel destinations this week.
The ultramodern city-state of Singapore has moved up from Level 3, or "high" risk for Covid-19, to Level 4, the agency's highest risk category.
This news comes on the heels of a recent decision by Singapore to further loosen restrictions and add eight new countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States, to its Vaccinated Travel Lane program. Fully vaccinated people arriving from those nations can apply for a quarantine-free entry.
Destinations that fall into the "Covid-19 Very High" Level 4 category have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days, according to CDC criteria.
People should avoid traveling to locations designated with a Level 4 notice, the CDC recommends. Anyone who must travel should be fully vaccinated first, the agency advises.

指揮中心表示，今日新增1例本土個案(案16451)，為60多歲男性，今(2021)年10月16日因出現發燒等症狀，10月17日就醫並採檢，檢驗結果陽性收治住院(Ct值33.1，IgG、IgM均為陽性，後續採檢2次核酸檢測均為陰性)，於今日確診。衛生單位已匡列接觸者12人，其中4人列居家隔離、3人列自主健康管理、5人列自我健康監測，將持續進行疫調及匡列，以釐清感染源。

指揮中心說明，今日新增5例境外移入個案，為4例男性、1例女性，年齡介於10多歲至60多歲，分別自美國(2例，案16448、案16452)、阿拉伯聯合大公國(案16449)、菲律賓(案16450)、馬來西亞(案16453)入境，入境日期介於10月5日至10月17日之間，均持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告；詳如新聞稿附件。

Czechs report highest daily tally of COVID-19 cases since April

PRAGUE (Reuters) - The Czech Republic detected 2,521 new cases of COVID-19 on Oct. 18, the highest daily tally since late April, data from the Health Ministry showed on Tuesday.

The daily count reported for Monday is almost double the reported number for the same day last week.

Hospitalisations rose to 544, the highest number since the end of May, but still a fraction of the numbers in March, when the last wave of the pandemic swept over the country.

Over the past seven days, 54 people died in connection with COVID-19, more than in the whole month of September.

Latvia announces four weeks of lockdown as cases spike

Latvia announced a COVID-19 lockdown from Oct. 21 until Nov. 15 to try to slow a spike in infections.

Only essential manufacturing, construction and critical jobs will be allowed to continue in person with a curfew in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The Latvian government cancelled most planned hospital operations last week amid an increased need for beds and staff as COVID-19 cases climb.

WHO says it 'cannot cut corners' in approving India's Covaxin shot

The World Health Organization on Monday asked for further data from India's Bharat Biotech to consider the company's request for an emergency-use listing for its COVID-19 shot, saying the WHO could not "cut corners" in making a decision. Without a WHO nod, the two-dose Covaxin is unlikely to be accepted as a valid vaccine around the world and would complicate travel plans for tens of millions of Indians who have taken it.

Bharat Biotech, which developed Covaxin with an Indian state research body, started sharing data with the WHO from early July. The vaccine was given emergency-use authorisation in India in January even before the completion of a late-stage trial, which later found the shot to be 78% efficacious.
