呢部係朱諾號 Juno接近木星 Jupiter嘅artist concept,我估係因為佢太低科技唔識自拍

Jupiter係借羅馬神話中朱庇特 Luppiter(同宙斯同LV)所命名。
而神話中,即使Luppiter用雲霧遮掩自己,Luppiter嘅老婆Juno永遠都可以睇清Luppiter。
所以Juno就係希望可以望穿木星嘅迷霧。

Juno之前,木星最清嘅正面影像,係由先鋒者11號 Pioneer 11影低嘅。

而最清嘅南北極影像,就係由卡西尼號 Cassini 嘅相片拼接而成。
Juno係2011年發射專門探測木星嘅,2016年抵達木星軌道就影左好多好清嘅相啦。

木星同地球一樣都有氣旋 cyclone,但就勁地球嘅好多。
但因為木星比地球大嘅關係,所以氣旋睇落好細咁,大過地球都唔出奇

而北半球氣旋因自轉關系,會比南半球氣旋大。

雖然都係氣體行星,但土星 Saturn北極有六邊型結構,木星就冇了。

氣旋上,木星除左有著名嘅大紅斑 Great Red Spot外,原來仲有好多好靚嘅氣旋。

呢張相叫 Jupiter Blues。調一調色,好似梵高嘅星空咁

但比起極長壽、被觀測左二百年嘅大紅斑,真係蕓花一現。

但科學家都係好想研究佢地,因為木星嘅氣旋系統比地球嘅更複雜。
例如呢個由Jovian Infrared Auroral Mapper收集數據嘅合成相片,發現係木星北極有8個氣旋圍住1個氣旋轉。
