This course taught me how to generate a topic for investigation. I had learned it to select a topic that I am interested in, also how to generate a topic. First of all, I have learned and process to do the assignment, I need to do some research with academic resources must be current, authoritative, and relevant to collect accurate data. Such as go to the library to find out current year resources and data. Moreover, It is one way to organize and evaluate secondary research for an assignment. I have learned about how to write an annotation, for example, writing in-text citation use an APA format style to cite a source and how to write work by two authors or more than three authors. For writing a paragraph, I have learned how to summarize a paragraph and have a key supporting of details and paraphrase information to write a paragraph to ensure no plagiarism. Besides, I need to show how the data support actual data in my thesis and use the past tense to describe the past data, on the contrary, describe the future data I need to use future tense.
Interpretation
Furthermore, I have learned how to describe graphs, charts, and tables. In terms of the assignment last week, I did a table and line graphs. When I describe a table, I would like to summarise and an overview of the information by selecting and reporting significant elements or main features to make a comparison. Moreover, about describing line graphs, I need to convert information into points and represent the trends, these lines show about key factors that affected increase or decrease. Furthermore, describe a line graph verbs, adjectives, and adverbs are an important element to express the movement of the line and trends. For instance, verbs need to use rise, increase, up to, etc. That is important to describing graphs, charts, and tables. After describing graphs, charts, and tables, I need to show how the data support actual data in my thesis and select a significant data when I report the data of the trend that discuss future or guess about future, such as will increase, that are forecasted reporting the data. Also, if describing situations, it needs to give a reason ,effect and give about the example to prove the result.
