English school teacher is not on the UK's shortage occupation list - so you cannot get a work permit as an English teacher.

Only Chemistry, Maths and Physics school teachers are on the UK's shortage occupation list. (See page 7 of the link below)

If you gain your British Citizenship by the 1990 British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act (居英權計劃), you can be a British Citizen by descent. Any child of yours born outside of the UK may not get British Citizenship.

By giving birth in the UK will enable your child to have British Citizenship. In the case of a birth in Northern Ireland (Belfast for example), your child will also have Irish citizenship as long as one of the child's parent is a British Citizen at the time of the child's birth.

Btw,我有親戚喺英國嗰邊開餐館，想問英國而家仲有冇擔保過去做廚做5年入藉呢支歌仔唱？

Yes - but you (the chef) will need to have five years' work experience, as well as a minimum wage of £29,570 per year in the UK. See page 12 of the link below for details -

到宜家真係係英國搵到工, 整到visa
但發現5年真係好撚難挨....得自己1個
只可以諗住為將來而唔好放棄

It is six years rather than five.

Five years for Indefinite Leave to Remain (like Hong Kong's permanent resident) plus one more year for British Citizenship.

Thanks it's exactly the thing I would like to check , but yet to do so, gotta spare some time to check whether our citizenship is by decent, I've heard people saying both way
