Education requirements for post-secondary studies effective February 8, 2023
You must have graduated no more than 10 years before you apply for this open work permit, with one of the following…

The public policy expires on February 7, 2025.
The open work permit is valid for up to 3 years.

To be eligible for this stream, you must have worked in Canada for at least 12 months full-time, or an equal amount of part-time hours (at least 1,560 hours in total) in the 3 years before you apply.

We’re making changes to eligibility for stream B (Canadian work experience)
Starting August 15, 2023, if you apply for stream B (Canadian work experience) you’ll no longer need post-secondary education to be eligible.

If you graduated from a post-secondary school outside Canada, you must get an educational credential assessment (ECA). This assessment will show that your studies are equal to a Canadian post-secondary diploma or degree.

You can’t include any hours of work that you spent
 • as a full-time student
 • self-employed (Uber)
 • working outside Canada
 • on leave from your job (medical, parental or similar)
 • on an extended absence outside Canada
 • unemployed

常見問題:
1. 5年內畢業點計？ 咩叫10年內畢業？10年內畢業點計？
答： 首先要分開 OWP 同 Stream B 係兩樣嘢嚟。

OWP: 由2023年2月起**，申請OWP果刻要10年內畢業。2025年2月截止。獲批後3年內入境，落地換3年工作簽證。

OWP係比你申請working visa 係加拿大做野，當你做夠 1560 小時 （一星期就算你做足夠168個小時都只會計你30個小時），咁除返開就係52 個星期，所以點都要一年時間先會達到申請 Stream B 工作時數個申請要求。

當做夠一年夠鐘數後，就可以透過Stream B: Canadian work experience去申請 PR。所以Stream B其一嘅PR Pathways。

Stream B: 由2023年8月起**，申請Stream B果刻毋需要學歷。即係取消左之後嘅5年內畢業。同時無需要某年內畢業內先可以申請。

2. 申請OWP 要唔要做學歷認證？
答：Degree嘅話，申請OWP個刻其實係唔使做學歷認證，但當你申請PR嘅時候，只要你係加拿大以外學校畢業，一律都要做學歷認證 （Stream B毋需要學歷要求/證明）。但都建議做定，一來可以知自己個學歷達唔達到要求，二來可以慳返啲稅。

If you got your education abroad
You don’t need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to apply if you got a degree (for example, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral) outside Canada, but an officer may request one later.
If you got a post-secondary, graduate or post-graduate diploma outside Canada, you must provide an ECA.

3. Stream B 有冇話規定做咩工？
答： 冇，真係冇。但留意以下條款，例如Uber唔計：

4. 申請 Stream B 要唔要做良民証(CNCC)？
答：IRCC隨機，有巴打分享過話 30 歲以上先要。 (細過30都有機會中)

5. 我應該幾時出發？
答： 一律建議一拎到OWP 就盡快出發，你唔知會有咩特發嘢發生。

6. 加拿大難唔難搵嘢做？
答： 你新移民又冇本地經驗，你係僱主都會諗諗。建議都要有從頭嚟過嘅心理準備會開心啲。 你唔係揀工做，我覺得唔算好難搵。
