Thank you for your enquiry. We wish to confirm that the events described in your forwarded post are inaccurate.
A few facts:
1. On August 5th we respected the decision of the staff who did not come to work but we also respected those who wished to work, so we remained open with fewer staff members. However, we most certainly did not warn, lecture or reprimand anyone for expressing their views and we definitely did not say or imply in any way that such action should not be repeated.
2. On October 5th, out of concern for the safety of our staff all of our shops were closed. Nonetheless, all staff received full salary and no holiday was deducted.
3. On October 6th/7th, we closed our shops early and provided full transportation allowance (for example, uber or taxi etc) to ensure all of our staff could get home safely.
4. On November 13th, majority of our staff came to work late due to traffic issues but we paid them full salary regardless of when they arrived. For the 3 staff who did not come to work we deducted only half day holiday.
Lastly, we wish to say that the current situation is unprecedented but we are trying our best to listen to and accommodate the needs of all of our staff. Thank you.
