「把大活人開膛破肚一下子開膛破肚不可能不染血，但我們的獵犬都追蹤不了半點去向。」甘一田雙眼失焦，空洞茫然。
「幾宗案發的日子....全是會下雨的日子，在夜間行凶，一晚雨水沖刷，氣味腳印都不可能找到....浩南，寫信給欽天監，我要知道接下來會下雨的時間。」
「凶手還在城中，城門關口紀綠我已查核，在開膛手初次作案至這宗案子之間，出入城的人都對不上作案時間地點......證明凶手一直未曾離開......」
「死者除了被開胸捥心，身上沒有錢袋子...但絕不是見財起意，那些死者不全是富人，而且屍身滿頭朱翠，為財殺人的賊不會如此浪費，拿走錢袋該是順手而為。」
「也不算見色起心姦殺.....所有屍身都無掙扎打鬥痕跡....那些死前曾交合的女人.....恐怕是自願的.....」
