The show consists of 2 separate but connected stories about an island cult. The Summer story stars Jude Law. The Winter story stars Naomie Harris. They consist of three regular tv episodes. But there is also a 12 hour televised play that bridges the two parts starring some of the actors from both parts. It’s one live-streamed camera following the actors performing semi-improv in character for 12 hours on a day where the cult is performing their big ritual event. It’s a sort of compendium episode that fleshes out the world of the show, but not necessary to the narrative. You can skip it and just go right from Summer to Winter and you’ll still get a complete story, but if you watch the live episode you’ll get more details of the island and the cult’s rituals.
