Overview
This course is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of Arabic. The course aims at introducing the culture of the Arabic-speaking countries, providing a general overview of the language and exploring the basic features of Modern Standard Arabic.
It covers the following topics :
- the Arabic alphabet;
- the short and long vowels;
- basic vocabulary of nouns;
- definite and indefinite nouns;
- masculine and feminine nouns ;
- interrogative particles ;
- demonstrative pronouns; and
- personal pronouns
