--> One of the most complex legal considerations with regards to voyeurism is the need to ascertain and demonstrate an expectation of privacy. This means that in order for a conviction to be given, the court must be satisfied that the victim could have reasonably expected privacy to carry out their activity in the area concerned. To prove this, a court will look to demonstrate that the victim was at home, in a private office, in an area with a locked door or in a setting that is widely acknowledged as protective of privacy.
