我想問CU Grad 報外國大學使唔使要交 ielts/toefl
人地會唔會當CU 個 Medium of Instruction 係 Chinese?

好似香港既大學基本上都要？

人地睇Medium of Instruction 係 depends on 你個科 not the name of the institution

我見有d 話 Medium of Instruction 係 English 就唔使再交 ielts toefl
不過CU 佢Official 係寫 English and Chinese
唔知d 大學當唔當係 English

基本上都要，除非係英語系國家嘅大學(香港啲U係英文教，但通常唔包)，因為外國大學要你個ielts/toefl ，除咗證明你有用Eng學習嘅能力，仲要用嚟出張CAS俾當地政府，證明你有能力用Eng生活，即係for visa applications

當地政府通常只承認ielts/toefl 呢啲公認基準，而喺英語系國家嘅大學讀過2-3年以上通常會有括免，otherwise 間大學要另外解釋俾政府個邊聽，點解覺得你可以生活到

Btw, 你可以再問吓大學個邊，不過你考Ielts呢啲應該搞得掂冇問題

本身 CU BSc 得2nd low
不過之後 HKU MSc 3.7 GPA
如果報 UCL/IC STAT or MATH 難唔難入

唔可以好firmed 咁答你
不過UK嚟講, Maths多數都係COWI
(Cam, Ox, Warwick, Imperial)
所以UCL應該冇咁難(掛?)

IC maths直收嘅話，應該要at least high 2:1
不過你個case 可以去試下

識人1st hon, apply咗今年IC maths,
最後IC replys，話佢meets all requirements
但話佢個科太多人爭，所以冇位

我諗今年咁多人defer，2021 entry應該仲難...
不過係咪都試咗先啦，反正IC好似唔洗Application fees

打算係報PhD之前學多門手藝for以後研究用，宜家有兩個心頭好：
UCL MA Digital Humanities
Glasgow MSc Geoinformation and Cartography
宜家Mphil Year one，研究中國史嘅，出年應該可以順利畢業。UG時因為修日文所以GPA炒咗車拉唔番得3.14（HKU）唔知有冇機？有冇人熟呢兩個課程？

其實 ref letter 呢d 可唔可以叫同學 or 朋友寫
讀MSc 果時識左個廿年前 Oxbridge Grad 神人
又做過哂香港最大幾間銀行既Head
咁讀MSc 我都幫過佢幾多
叫佢寫封Ref 應該肯
咁樣會唔會易入d
