The storyline of “Burning” (directed by Lee Chang Dong) centers around a mysterious case that involves three characters Jong Soo, Ben, and Hye Mi. Yoo Ah In will be playing the role of Jong Soo, Steven Yeun will be playing the character Ben, and Hye Mi will be played by a rookie actress named Jeon Jong Seo.
Steven Yeun expressed several times in previous interviews that he wanted to try working with director Lee Chang Dong.
In regards to Steven Yeun’s casting, director Lee Chang Dong commented, “Steven Yeun possesses a mysterious charm that’s perfect for the character Ben.”
“Burning” began filming on September 11 and is expected to premiere in the first half of 2018.
