Dear Sir/Madam,
As a cardholder of Aeon JCB credit card in Hong Kong, I am writing to express the recent problems encountered in using the mentioned card.
It is discovered that online transactions of the card have failed from late March 2023. From a number of news reports and announcements of the card issuer, Aeon Credit Service, all online transactions have once been suspended due to security issues but now should be resumed. Meanwhile, online transactions have been tried in last few days but none of them was successful. According to enquiry by other cardholders, customer service of Aeon Credit Service has claimed that only online transactions verified with one-time password (OTP) are accepted.
As it is the decision by merchants to utilize OTP, suspension of all online transactions without OTP brings extreme inconvenience to cardholders. It has restrict the usage of the card so the cardholders have no choice but to use other credit cards in the affected online transactions. I hope that your company can take prompt actions to coordinate with the card issuer and fix the issues as soon as possible.
