Christian Eriksen today had a meeting with Tottenham executives. He asked to leave immediatly because he wants to join Inter. Talks ongoing to complete the agreement.

There was a meeting today between Eriksen's agent and Spurs President Daniel Levy, but there was an added surprised when the player himself made an appearance. Eriksen stated his will to leave the Premier League to play for Inter in this transfer window. Tottenham plays Norwich on Wednesday and manager Jose Mourinho stated that Eriksen might play, but this won't change the situation. Inter CEO Beppe Marotta commented to Sky Sport that "we have faith", the Nerazzurri know that Spurs place a 20 million euro pricetag on the player. There will be another meeting on Thursday between Spurs and Eriksen's agent to define the terms for his exit, as his contract expires at the end of June 2020.

Never would we have dreamed in the last 10 years that we would be able to sign a player like Eriksen. And now, with a full agreement in place with the player and the strong negotiating position, Inter is seeking to pay a reasonable fee instead of over-paying what a player with only 6 months of contract is worth.
Will Eriksen win us the scudetto? Probably not. So then how can we justify the €20m spend now, if he won't generate the €20m extra in prize money?
Do I want us to sign Eriksen immediately so I can see us win more games? Yes of course, but from a finance perspective, I'm not gonna complain about Inter's management for strong arming Tottenham with our agreement with the player to try and force them to accept. The reality is, the closer to the end of the window you get, the more likely Tottenham is going to take whatever they can get.
Some are even saying that we are losing points because we haven't signed him. Now if we are losing points against Lecce because we dont have Eriksen, then we DEFINITELY dont have a good enough squad to compete for the scudetto, which in itself invalidates the financial potential for Eriksen to justify spending €20m on him with 6 months left on his contract.
Be patient, Marotta knows what he is doing and we will get Eriksen by the end of January. We clearly need re-enforcements in midfield and that will be delivered to Conte without a doubt. We shouldn't need Eriksen to beat Lecce and Cagliari.
Just think back to all the shit players we have seen over the years and then remember that we have a full agreement with Christian Eriksen to join us in less than 10 days.
