Flamengo vice president Marcos Braz and executive director Bruno Spindel arrived in Milan yesterday to finalise a deal with Inter for Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Fox Sports Brasil.
The exact details of the deal between the clubs are as yet unclear although going off of various reports both in Italy and Brazil, the transfer fee will be between €18-20 million.
Some reports have stated Inter will have a clause which entitles them to a % of a future sale whilst others have stated that this will not be the case.
Gabigol spent the whole of 2019 out on loan at the Rio de Janeiro based club and wrote his name into the club’s history books as he helped them to win the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores and finish runners up in the Club World Cup.
The 23-year-old Brazilian international made 58 appearances for Flamengo, in which he scored 43 goals and provided 13 assists for his teammates.
