請問下retention max 5%係咪淨係計main contract works? vo會唔會影響？
假設$1,000,000 lump sum retention max係50,000
之後有多$1,000,000 vo 咁retention max係50,000定100,000?

Contract 係寫5% 定 50000先
For IP，扣retention 係會計埋vo

應該係5%
VO令個lump sum大左
所以應該計成個contract 5%

5% 我知for ip係需要連埋vo一齊扣10%直到contract嘅5% 但vo會唔會影響rentention maximum個上限？

所以用上面個例子 maximum就係100,000?

SFBC2005其實就預你填個實數落去嘅, 可能你地d job改到做percentage啦, 但係我就真係未試過咁改

mc有預contingencies, 計limit of retention都會包埋contin去計, 如果VO仲要扣, 咁咪扣上扣?

錯哂 concept, btw main con 係會咁扼sub con Ge ，但真正concept 係剩係理contract sum ，計到個max retention 就係咁多 ，唔會因爲你vo幾多而要調多幾多上去。

總之一句講哂通常個Contract Sum係指Awarded Contract Sum

btw如果$1m-contract真係有$1m VO，情況會複雜得多

Maximum retention is a value. You apply the retention percentage to the value of work done (both contract works and variation) in interim payment until that value is reached.

If like you said, the retention maximum is changed to a percentage then you have to find out how to apply that percentage. For example if the retention percentage is 5% as stated then you need to know what value to apply that stated 5%. Your question is unclear. If like a lot normal situation the contract states “retention maximum 5% of Contract Sum to the nearest thousand” then the retention limit will be 5% of the Contract Sum rounded to the nearest thousand dollars. In your example, the limit is 1Mx5% equals 50k, if that is the case. Thus you need to be sure what the Contract says.

開頭見到有人答 limit of retention會隨著VO而adjust都嚇左一跳, 但係問過其他人又話原來佢果間 Main Con 對 Sub Con的limit of retention真係會因VO而adjust, 所以上面話會變其實又錯唔晒, 真係睇合約點寫
