I won't be here if 1967 riots didn't happen. I can not change that. i had many job offers to work in China and HK, but i declined them because I don't trust CCP.
I had a really good life in HK and I had to start all over again in Canada. My Japanesde language skills are practically useless here. just before I come over (1973), I went to a few job interviews at some Jewllery stores that cater to Japanese tourist just for fun. The inital interview was in japanese and done over the phone. i immediately recognized the interviewer was my japanese language teacher's sister (also my buddy). She told me it was really hard to find someone who can speak Japnese and English. She knew I was doing it just for fun. I also tried out the other stores and was offered a job on the spot.
One of my Japanese language classmate opened a jewllery store.

I used to live in Shiu Fai Terrace and I seldom go anywhere other than school and fishing. Most of my friends were Japanese kids and British. My home is 30 minutes walk to Wan Chai.
I had adapted to Canadian life style.

I eat Chinese food more, Stir fry beef and flat noodle is my favorite. But I do the cooking at home. My wife doesn't cook. I can make many Chinese food and even wonton, .油炸鬼, 蘿蔔糕, etc.

I want to know if it is OK to get a job for accounting industry with a foreign professional qualifications? I aim for FP&A / financial analyst post in corporate sector.

GAAP may be different.
You may have to take some courses.
Most company will prefer locally trained CPA or with Canadian education background.
