Most fresh salt water fish are either from Texas/Florida/Carolinas/MA (Boston ) Crabs are from Maryland.
Trucks will go down to Texas, Florida and Carolinas (North and South) to pick up fish and ship to Toronto area by Monday morning. Most fish are at least 4 days old. Certain type of fish from MA, crabs from Maryland through out the week.

My driving experiences
I have been driving since 1977. I had a few car accidents, stopped by police and received a few tickets, went to Court to fight these tickets (most of the time). Here are some of the more memorable incidents.
1977 first snow storm. I didn't have snow tires. I normally walk to class
(U of T downtown). The snow was really heavy and I was in a hurry. That was my first drive under heavy snow storm. The fresh snow was more than a foot deep and my car wasn't able to move very fast. About 5 minutes into the drive, I got stuck on the road. I stepped on the gas pedal and my car ended up on the opposite side of the traffic and hit the parked car sideway. I came out of my car, waited 15 minutes and the car owner didn't show up. I left a note on the wiper and went to class. There were no pay phone anywhere.
A police officer showed up at my door and charged me with "fail to report and fail to remain". I asked for help with the U of T legal service. A law student helped me and I won both charges.
I was picking up my friend's brother from the airport. The plane was delayed for 6 hours and it was after mid-night when my friend's brother finally arrived. He was new to Toronto. My friend suggested to take him to see China Town (Spadina and Dundas area). It was around 1am in the morning and her brother said he was really tired and wanted to go home first. My car had already existed the Spadina ramp before she changed her mind. I didn't see the sign and drove straight to Lakeshore Blvd. (All cars must turn left onto Spadina back then). I didn't know there was an unmarked police car right behind me on the Spainda ramp. I was stopped and the police said I looked drunk the way I drive and I was speeding on Gardina Expressway. Eventually, I was given a ticket for "fail to obey lane sign".
I went to Court and told the judge that the police accused me of drinking and speeding on Gardina Expressway but didn't issue me a ticket on those accusations. I also said that I was driving along Lakeshore and was stopped by the police a km away from Spadina exit exit. There were other cars on the road.
The judge asked the police if he had told me that I was speeding and look drunk? The police said yes. Then the judge asked the police why didn't he issue a ticket for both violations. The police said he didn't know why. The judge threw the case out and I won.
I was on my way to pick up my wife from work after I picked up my daughter from daycare.
I came to a cross walk and two girls were crossing from my left side. A car on my right side didn't stop and ran through the cross walk. A taxi hit my car from behind when the two girls was about 5 feet from the front of my car.
The taxi pushed my car forward for about 20 feet before it came to a stop. My right knee and left shoulder was hurt and my daughter had a bump on her forehead. She was on her car seat. The two girls went to the police station and reported the accident. I sued the taxi driver and received a settlement 3 years later.

Back then, China Town was on Dundas street between Bay to University, then Beverly to Spadina. Then Spadina from Dundas to Cecil street.
