恭喜哂
Just got this from Home affairs " Our Media Operations team also provided this response about the migration strategy and the Hong Kong stream:
The changes to Graduate Visa settings laid out in the Migration Strategy are not intended to undermine the original intent of the visa settings for Hong Kong citizens and/or British National (Overseas) Passport holders. The Department of Home Affairs will provide more detail on how graduate visa reforms will be applied in the coming months, prior to implementation.Migration is central to Australia’s national story. Today more than half of all Australians are either born overseas or have a parent born overseas. Migrants continue to be an essential part of Australia’s economic and social fabric. The Migration Strategy released on 11 December 2023 outlines the Government’s vision for getting migration working for the nation and building a migration system that delivers for workers, businesses and all Australians. This will ensure Australia’s migration system is better targeted to build Australia’s economic prosperity and security. It is part of a whole-of-government strategy, aligning with broader Government priorities, such as the Employment White Paper, secure jobs and better pay for Australians and our strategic interests in the region. The Migration Strategy is building a system that Australians can trust and will return migration back to near pre-pandemic levels."
