由GE 唔肯幫Airbus 整A350 engine 已經注定350-1100好難
A350-1000已經係架有心臟病嘅飛機,佢嘅engine 已經遠超Titanium blade 嘅極限,XWB-97(甚至某程度上XWB-84同埋Trent 1000)只可以靠幾樣compromise
第一係titanium blade 冇CFRP 嘅強度,
所以fan diameter 細(3.00m vs GE90-115B 3.3m);
而且fan blade 多,有成22塊,Trent 1000 係20塊已經多過GEnX嘅 18,GE9X 甚至做到16塊葉3.4m diameter,睇GE9X rollout 啲相真係好撚靚
第二係為咗compensate fan blade 多& diameter 細嘅efficiency loss,core 設計做到好aggressive(例如高operating temperature),令到佢保養貴/成日壞,呢個就係點解emirates CEO Tim Clark會話A350-1000 係部defective 嘅飛機

另外A350-1000 個wingspan 為咗維持65m E gate profile,選擇咗trailing edge 加40cm chord ,但係咁做就令個aspect ratio 細,只有9,而家嘅飛機都做到9.5(359), 9.6 (787)-10(777X)(aspect ratio 細代表wing vortex drag相對大)
Overall 35J 雖然係非常好嘅設計,但係翼同引擎已經above 咗設計極限,而咁啱777X呢兩樣都係全新嘅,所以點解777X 啱啱突破500 order,但係35J都仲未過300
如果35J個設計再加重,就更加難維持競爭力,如果真係要做,就起碼要等Rolls Royce Ultrafan ready 先
