Ok let’s assume we have a society that runs whatever “democracy” u suggested. Voting is straightly restricted to degree holders. Whats stopping a master degree holder in pushing their meritocracy system in which only master degree holders have voting rights? Then it goes on and on as the demographics of voters get more niche, whatever democracy system we started with will surely turn in to a one man dictatorship. Theres no way to draw a line saying someone should be given or be taken away their voting rights. And it’s a dangerous philosophical field ur stepping into. Once u open a fire for something, similar things of various magnitude will follow. Dignity and free will should always be respected , yes it’s true that the majority of the people in a society are dumb, but it’s still a society that they are part of, hence should be given a say, equal say with everyone else. The only thing we can do is to build a system that helps people understanding our political system, so they can cast their vote consciously and accordingly. Democracy in most cases are rather binary. We should work on the binary system we’ve got. Give it layers, and not to strip away people’s right in participating in a binary system.
