The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) held its 75th Executive Committee Meeting in Tokyo, Japan on 30 March 2024.
The matters discussed and approved were as follows;
(1) The host venues for the 2024 EAFF Competitions were approved as follows:
EAFF U15 Women’s Championship
Date: 16-25 August 2024
Host Association: Chinese Football Association
Venue: To be confirmed with the Chinese Football Association
Men’s EAFF E-1 Football Championship 2025 Preliminary Competition
Date: 9-19 November or 7-17 December 2024
Host Association: Chinese Taipei Football Association
Venue: Kaohsiung City
(2) The Venues and the month for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship to be hosted between 2024-2030 were proposed and approved.
2025 July: Korea Republic
2028 January: China PR
2030 January: Japan

What does Hong Kong mean to you? You were still young when you moved – what do you miss most about your home country?
Hong Kong is definitely where my heart is. I love the city, the people and above all, the food! Despite my Nigerian roots, Nigeria’s never really been on my radar apart from my early childhood. Hong Kong, on the other hand, is where I grew up and went to school. Apart from obviously missing my family loads, the food there deserves all the plaudits it gets. The way of life there also just appeals to me. Loud and hectic for some, maybe, but I personally enjoy the hustle and bustle.
Last year, you made your Hong Kong debut and made two assists in the 10-0 friendly win against Brunei Darussalam. How emotional was that occasion, especially standing for the national anthem?
Obviously, getting my first cap was really special and I actually found out from my father. The coach called him and, at that point, I was out of the loop. My dad then picked up the phone and told me the senior national team wanted me on board. Given how much I love the Hong Kong, playing for the national team is really living the dream for me. The anthem‘s in Chinese though, which is really tricky. Then again, I’ve known the song since I was a kid and sang along as well as I could back then. It was a magical moment for me, words can’t describe it.
Your national team coach Jorn Andersen played and managed in Germany for many years. What kind of relationship do you have with him?
Well he also played up front as a pro, so he can really help me on the pitch. We get on very well too. As soon as I enter the fray, what he asks me to do is give my all for the cause – and to remember that I’m playing not for the team or myself, but for a whole nation.
