I understand that your brand, which receives worldwide support and appreciation on the design and quality, would often face the issue of being plagiarised - especially on Taobao by China.
Taking legal actions against everyone who plagiarised maybe a huge financial burden to your brand. However, I would like to distinguish myaleshia case to other Taobao case that it is necessary to take legal action against them.
(1) Myaleshia is a brand, promoting itself as a Hong Kong designer brands - claimed to have self-designed every styles. They are literally taking the credit and the appreciation of the other brand’s designs to build on their brand’s reputation.
(2) Myaleshia is a brand targeting at middle-income group with aggressive pricing compared with other Taobao sellers. Most of the Myaleshia’s target customers are eager to pay to buy the original products. Myaleshia, therefore, is a direct competitor of your company.
(3) The plagiarism of the Myaleshia does not only affect the image of its own brand, but also how people perceive those designs. People buying your company’s authentic products would also be reluctant to wear them again because wearing those designs would be perceived by others as wearing and supporting plagiarised products.
I hope your company would seriously consider taking legal actions towards myaleshia to deter it from plagiarising your company’s products again and to protect the originality of your design and your brand.
