同埋就算佢喺招募過程中當bno. 係bc

According to the letter at the top of the thread, there is no 'set' amount of time a BN(O) passport holder need to reside in the UK before he/she can joined the British Armed Forces. However, the MOD needs to conduct security clearance based on UK residence thus the length of your UK residence depended on what role you applied for.

3)在決定申請移民前，有些朋友不想其他人知道又或影響其決定，所以不向朋友家人透露任何詳情，我是不建議收埋收埋，最好找個值得信任的朋友詳談
我曾以 「第十人理論 」的方式，找來朋友盡力提出反對移民的意見，為的就是要站在事件的對立面作整體參考
4) 正式移民到埗後，新生活開始了，總會有亢奮的感覺，而且希望能盡快盡力地適應及融入，但往往越是努力越是碰壁，日常生活經驗是很重要的，只能說每天也跌跌撞撞，沉著氣想想本地人也是如此經歷相信心裡會舒𣈱一點
其中一個經歷：我已不止一次在英國較大額 online payment 時(其實也只是£300+) ，遭發咭銀行立即停止debit card / credit card 的使用, 一定要打返電話去經過冗長的data checking (例如：問返你3個星期前某一日下午買過什麼)，才可以用返張咭。電話中的英語對談對方是不會放慢速度的，再加上不同的口音，其實都是幾惱人的事
類似以上的情況還真不少，少點耐性是不行的，當然還要有平靜的心，否則很快就會覺得好難適應。
5）心理調節上，最難的可能是對香港/家人/朋友/工作/生活/飲食上的記掛及惦念，其實就是思郷，儘管在移居前已有充分的理解和準備，亦知道香港的未來會是怎樣，但思念從前就像一種病，是無辦法治癒的
我依舊會關心香港丶思念某某，若再記起心中有一串開心日子，仍是會感恩，感激香港給我的，感謝某某對我的鼓勵丶聆聽我的苦水、給我更大的勇氣

Well - all I would say it that you may be able to move out of the barracks once you are more financially independent - a year or two after joining.

If you have two years, I would suggest you to spend some time on English language lesson so that you have a better chance of getting into the Army.

Are you under 31 years old, if you are, you can apply for an UK working holiday visa which is valid for 2 years and moved to the UK before applying to join the Army.

She can apply for an UK visa based on UK immigration rule 276AD & 276AE. Whether you will get married quarters from the Army, on the other hand, is something I cannot answer. Worst case scenario is for you to privately rent or buy a place to live together in the UK.

During your training period and employment as a soldier in the British Army, you are exempted from UK immigration control. This means that as long as you are in the British Army, you can stay in the UK.

伴侶 - I am not 100% sure, but it is likely that your spouse will be given work rights in the UK - you will need to ask the people at the recruiting office.
