As one of the many Chinese people living in the UK, I don't think racism is a large problem. I am not saying that there is no racism in the UK, but it is not a day to day thing.
Well, you just need to cope with it. You wanted something - whether it is British Citizenship or to learn a trade (like aircraft maintenance) and you can get out once you archived your original aim(s).
Have a look at the link below, it shows that 10.2% of British Army, 3.5% of Royal Navy and 2.2% of RAF personnel were from ethic minorities in April 2016.

Harder if joining RAF if non-EU born. Even my dad served in Army.
RAF have the strictest background check he said.
