OFFICIAL: Juventus have signed Cristian Romero for €26m payable in three years. Romero signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2024. He has been loaned back to Genoa until June 2020.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf are now reporting Juventus agreed on Friday to meet Ajax’s demands and hand over £66m for De Ligt.

Instead, he is waiting to jet off to Asia with Juventus as Maurizio Sarri knocks the squad Massimiliano Allegri left behind into shape.

However, De Ligt will not be signing for the Old Lady imminently due to the finer details of the verbally-agreed deal still being hammered out.

De Telegraaf reckon it might not be until the middle of next week when the 19-year-old’s move is officially announced.

Lawyers are also hard at work putting together the five-year deal De Ligt is expected to sign upon joining Ajax.
