How long is your working holiday? I saw X Japan live at Yokohama Arena 🏟several years ago which was absolutely incredible and unforgettable. They’ve been strutting their stuff since they were young. Even though they’re past their prime they’re still incredible musicians so don’t sell them short 😊at the end of the last encore they bowed onstage soaking up the applause 👏🏻 They were given a thunderous standing ovation. On top of being a great musician 👨🏻‍🎤 the drummer of the band is also an avid runner 🏃🏻‍♂️ He took part in a three thousand metre race where he came second. He rose to the occasion, ran for all he was worth and dived over the finish line 🏁 passing the runner 🏃🏻‍♂️ who was ahead of him earlier. Loads of fans celebrated with him and congratulated him for having won the race as he held up the trophy 🏆 The race was the opportunity for all the best runners in japan to strut their stuff. It was truly memorable. There’s a pageant of which the final round will take place next month in Osaka. My bet is Aiko will enter the final. My friend Alex has received a commission to compose a waltz for the pageant as one of the contestants will be showcasing her waltz dance 💃🏻 which we all can’t wait to see. I offer heartfelt congratulations to him for getting a commission for a waltz since it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. I should also like to express my congratulations to my friend Sarah on progressing through the preliminary round. She’s a contestant in the beauty contest and I won’t be surprised if she progresses through the semifinal. Last week my Japanese friend Keita asked me whether I wanted to join him for supper. I replied in the affirmative. Since we’re both marvel fans, we went to the cinema the next day and joined the queue for the movie 🎞tickets for Avengers. His friends joined us for the movie 🎥 later. That evening we joined his brother on a run along the promenade which was awesome. After that we joined with his sister and parents in doing a one hundred and fifty six thousand piece jigsaw puzzle 🧩 It was very relaxing and enjoyable ! I even saw a baseball match at Tokyo Dome Stadium 🏟 where I bet four hundred and ninety seven thousand yens on Hokkaido team. It was unforgettable. Though baseball ⚾️ isn’t very popular in Hong Kong it’s being offset by an increase in the marketing and promotion of the sport.

As for food, I highly recommend Ramen Menya in Shinjuku. They provide a range of broths to tempt sophisticated palates including chicken broth, pork bone broth, fish broth, shrimp broth, miso broth and lastly spicy broth. The spicy broth is toned down to suit the palates of the tourists so you don’t have to worry about it being too spicy 🌶 Of course they too serve food adapted for their own palate. The richness of broth is outstanding that will please demanding palates. The noodle texture is perfect which can please the most refined palate. Another restaurant which I highly recommend is BBQ Fuji near Shinjuku station. They serve the best quality of meat in Japan 🇯🇵 you can choose any cuts of beef you like for barbecue such as sirloin, ribeye, flank, rump, t-bone, tenderloin, round steak and so forth as I’m sure you have w discriminating palate😊The meat texture is of top quality which can tempt demanding palates. Their barbecue equipment is of high quality because the meat does not stick to the grill. It’s not like ordinary grill on which you try to flip food and it won’t come loose. It sticks and tears, makes a mess and results in dry charred meat 🥩Their barbecue solved this problem. I remember a decade ago there was a demonstration where the protestors clashed with the police at a mall in Osaka. I saw it on the news in Japan that day. I thought the police weren’t tough enough. All the riot police were holding a shield in one hand and a nightstick in another hand. In this way you can’t really fight the demonstrators and arrest them because you have no free hands to catch hold of them. That’s why it took four policemen to grab ahold of one protestor. From a fighting perspective, some of the riot police should be holding a truncheon and a shield, some holding just a shield, the other just a truncheon. And all of them should’ve been trained as to how they fight when they’re holding both a shield and a truncheon, holding just a shield and holding just a truncheon. I like Japanese culture and food. Last week in Tokyo, I even took the JLPT at N two level in which I got a merit. My listening far outshines my speaking so the marks I lost in speaking were offset by the marks I gained in listening. My friend too took the test. She’s a little weak at reading but strong in writing so the marks she gained in the writing section offset those she lost in the reading part.
