McLaren’s plan is to catch up Ferrari’s production line
Bit by bit, year by year
Ferrari easily makes 8,000 cars while they intend to keep it slightly below 10,000 cars just to make it high demand.
Mclaren on the other hand sold it’s 10,000th car in December 2016.
That is over 5 years of total production.
You will see output of 5000 cars per year sometime before 2020 - which you just saw in its 2019.
The problem is that pandemic makes it breeding cash.
Personally speaking I think it definitely want to burn tons of money just to secure a certain % in Supercar market, but only not these two years.
