佢個test係拎一副淨係design for 87既engine去試87同91有咩分別
但如果佢副engine係design for 91既 個test result就會唔同
而佢話可以入87既車唔洗入91 入左只會增加incomplete combustion
呢樣野係correct to a certain extend
因為有engine係designed for multiple grade gas
佢既電腦&sensor係可以因應唔同fuel去改變ignition timing&compression ratio
從而達到more complete combustion&more power
but it requires the engine&ecu being designed with that in mind
而大部份engine都冇咁做(mazda skyactiv is ab exception)
就算你入premium fuel佢都淨係用番同一個compression ratio同ignition timing, result就係多左incomplete combustion
所以佢個statement先可以mostly true

Its all about the engine design
Usually with more powerful engine, a higher compression ratio and tighter ignition timing is required to extract most energy out of the combustion
And in order to achieve a high compression ratio, a higher octane fuel is required to withstand the high compression before it ignite itself prematurely (pre-ignition)
Using regular fuel in a engine designed for premium fuel, it will result in knocking and pre-ignition, which can damage the engine.
