DevOps本來就係developer+operator
可以唔使專programming 但其實都係要識code 同埋識嘅嘢要夠全面 唔係淨係自己個application點寫點行點deploy 偏多D system architect方面

prometheus, splunk, datalog or elk? Kafka? Service mesh? VPC peering?
Deploy microservices?
Plus above, at least 50k~

Not microservice experience on cloud yet
Only on premise

And going to take aws solution architect associate and/or devops pro exam

I don’t understand. If not with microservices architecture, at least SOA? Why need k8s and argocd?
Centralised logging and monitoring is a big part in devops~

咁睇你做咩role㗎啫 冇理由做frontend developer要你識infrastructure嘅嘢
有人會偏睇full picture睇architecture 有人會睇workflow偏cicd/testing 有人會專一種做specialist
一間好嘅公司係應該in candidate 本身嘅質素 而唔係當下對佢公司set tool有幾熟
有興趣嘅話咪經roadmap學多幾樣嘢 冇壞嘅

But you can try 40k up with 3yrs Java experiences

PS: don’t know if your Java experiences includes spring stack and message broker or just simple CRUD restful app, I assume the former…

如果寫app係淨係寫client/server 同用EDA做真係兩回事黎

Btw, my personal opinion is that taking aws certs is wasting time. Just directly apply for companies with large scale and microservices BE to practice devops. Good luck~
