In LIHKG, all posts about English language have only very few replies.
The same thing happens on Signal groups. People chit chat all the time. But everyone gets silence when an English tweet or news appears.
Some Hongkongers make even simple grammatical mistakes (e.g. mixing up passive voice/past tense) on Twitter.
I'm not blaming everyone. I just want to say that to learn a language, including English, one must force himself or herself to read more and listen more. Don't just search for Chinese translation all the time. Many LIHKGers would argue that, it's enough to understand what each other says. But I think we should make sure that we use grammar correctly. For instance, we should double-check the grammar in writing. Keeping this habit, our English would improve from time to time.
