So I guess you are talking about us. The so called "精英" that came back.

It's true, most of us came back in the 2000s. Banking was making tonnes of money and on an after-tax basis HK was unbeatable. Also, it's a great place to be tax-domiciled for private investments as capital gains taxes are zero.

But most of us are gone now, we've moved most of our families and children back overseas, along with most of our assets. The kids are unlikely going to come back. The opportunities in HK just isn't the same now as it was in 2000. Where's the talent? Where's the growth? Where are the technological breakthroughs?

HK is just an investment base, we don't physically need to be here. It's just another Cayman/BVI for us.

-- are you joking? Who in their right mind is coming here to work since 2018, unless you are unable to get a job overseas? Who is going to bring their young family to be based in HK in the current political environment? Have you seen how HKIS looks now compared to 5 years ago, both in terms of the teaching faculty and student make up? Loads of foreign families are gone.

Anyone young and capable is probably working in NYC, SF, London, or China, not in HK.

HK is a great place to park your investments to invest *OUTSIDE* thanks to our wonderful taxation system.

我們合夥人公司員工98%是內地年輕菁英,沒有一個人會投資香港。

他們工資都不想在香港出,可以的話都是想新加坡entity出, 幫他們拿那邊PR,有資格走PTS Scheme。

樓主講嘅全部都有道理,但係標題明明講長遠,冇通脹,冇政府高地價政策分析?

點樣樓市長期向上,過去一百年都係,一定係因為通脹,因為印銀紙,人工升

第二,香港政府高地價政策,改變嘅話,一係加直接税,一係銷售稅,問題係加完都補唔返

第三,香港可見將來都係超一線中國城市,淨係北京水災同上海封城都顯示香港優勢,就算唔係國際金融中心,都係中國離岸金融中心

第四,回流潮,總有人唔適應外國生活,或者第二代拎完外國護照想返黎住

第五,毛澤東之後到鄧小平,習近平之後到邊個唔敢講,但係歷史證明通常物極必反

冇人吹奏過香港生活條件醫療教育好
但整體又冇班學生哥講到咁差
睇下出面post日日開幾百個踩港post就知啦
又唔肯走 淨係識網上世界屌屌屌

香港公營出租房屋 係全球之冠 多過人地一個國家
販賣奴棣 低端人口 出口人礦係香港既核心價值
你拎其他地方做實業既邊有得比較??

上海封城之後就好大打擊了,佢地覺得就算搵幾多錢,幾有社會地位,樓下個居委會大媽都可以收佢地皮,由佢地餓死病死。同埋政府公信力嚴重下滑,仲係講緊上海呢個中國市政最先進既地方,政府星期一講明唔封城,星期三就突發鎖鳩你。大白隨意入你屋企以「消殺」名義拆左你間屋都得。

我淨係知大陸依家已經燒到中產個班。鄉下身邊都聽到好多人要走資出國/移民。以前無咁多,今年好多都好急無咁疊水既都先將錢搬黎香港再諗辦法。
