I really don't understand fans who bitch on Gattuso. His tactics won us a point yesterday (we didn't lose 3 point, we won a point).
People saying he should have made a substitution should really come up with a decent substitution. Castillejo would have offered nothing since we needed physicality and defensive minded players to keep the result. Montolivo, Jose Mauri and Halilovic are just out of the question, if you are calling for them to play than I think you should just stick to another team. Bertolacci is so weak physically and has so little playing time that putting him on as a sub in a high pace, important game like this would make no sense. Laxalt would have made some sense, but Borini was on point defensively last night and there were absolutely no problems on that side of the pitch, so I really don't see a point in that either. Don't forget how we conceded, it was a poor clearance off a desperate long ball. Sometimes the ball bounces against you, and that's just football.
So please stop talking shit and remind yourself how we were losing these games easily before Gattuso and now we are a very solid and compact team, even with shittier players! Remember how all the big teams trampled on us? Well they don't anymore. We went into Olimpico last night with an absolute shit team and played Lazio as equals. This is all Gattuso's mentality and work, and I think he deserves out appreciation.
