sad news but....engineer salary cost in Taiwan is actually the cheapest in the region. cheaper than Shanghai and even Malaysia. met a Malaysian company before they go to Taiwan to set up r&d center in Taiwan because of the cost....and very good.quality talents

Prospectus is of no use in an IPO other than to fulfil the listing regulation requirements
In an IPO more important is the demand and supply of the shares
Look at 1716 The share price went to rocket high and then all in a sudden dropped down to $2
Xiaomi looks like will be valued at US$100b
It says it's an Internet company and is to create an ecosystem
What a joke but doesn't matter Hong Kong people will like it and will buy the shares anyway
Just that at this stage it is just a hardware company without a developed ecosystem and its Pe is much higher than Apple

look at ping an good doctor, all but gone in 2 days, may have the hype for a while but back to fundamental eventually.
you can probably trade a few thousand in and out and betting on your luck but not institutional investors
and there is no way xiomai can value at 100b usd, not even 70, doubt institutional will buy except the national team. why don't I just go for Tencent or Alibaba with 40 or 50x pe, much easier

有人才政府有咁多儲備咁多錢好容易整到一個好土壤去發展科技

香港曾經要制水
因為唔夠水去大陸買水冇問題
但應該係買嘅同事時大力研究海水化淡令到自己自給自足
你睇吓星加坡佢一路都有同馬來西亞買水
但係自己繼續研究海水化淡技術
而家佢嘅技術已經係世界第一流
真係好難以至信
香港要發展科技其實真係乜嘢都有晒就係個政府無能

早幾年係咪話Google想喺香港設置數據中心
但最嬲尾都成唔到事

The CEO says he will not earn more than 5% from manufacturing the phones or he will give back the money to the customers
So the company doesn't want to earn too much
Just 5% that's it

na, he just wants to tell u they aren't a hardware company with pe multiple 20x at best and that's not going to happen either way

he didn't say it is gross margin operating or net anyway lots of room to play

Of course no one will take his words seriously
Just want to point out how distrustful a Chinese company is
