但你未夠50萬鎂就唔駛擔心，美國政府保你，不過你要係用國際版

SIPC’s members are only broker-dealers registered in the United States. Foreign subsidiaries of SIPC members are not themselves SIPC members. Interactive Brokers LLC, headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA, is a member of SIPC. If your investment is held in the custody of the SIPC-member Interactive Brokers, it would be protected by SIPC in the event that Interactive Brokers LLC failed—e.g., went bankrupt. Interactive Brokers Hong Kong (IB HK), however, is not a broker-dealer registered in the U.S. and is not a member of SIPC. Thus, its customers are not directly protected by SIPC, and if it failed, SIPC could not intervene in order to help its customers.

TLDR:
如果 IBHK default，但 IB LLC 本身無事，就應該無 SIPC 保護
如果 IB LLC default 導致 IB HK default，就應該有 SIPC 保護
