Manchester City have reportedly won the race to sign Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy in a deal worth around £40million.
City boss Pep Guardiola has already raided the French Ligue 1 champions this summer having sealed a £43million swoop for playmaker Bernardo Silva last month.
And he has now set his sights on 22-year-old Mendy with the offer of a four-year contract worth £100k-a-week reportedly on the table at the Etihad Stadium.
The player is currently away on international duty with France, but it's being suggested that his transfer to City will be rubber-stamped later this month.
Guardiola is keen to bolster his left-back options with veteran Aleksandar Kolarov and Academy graduate Angelino his only available players ahead of next season.
