有d機會上過下UST的physics course,大約到year 2 sem 1左右的level

課程還好,但講成個校園既風氣會CU比較好,果邊physics d人真係天外有天

當時都想入cu 但係唔夠分

how does the nuclear reactor get the neutrons and accelerate them?

there are several types of sources
1. source from spontaneous decay/fission
2. bombarding accelerated atoms to another atom (e.g. plutonium to beryllium)
3. neutron activation
4. chain reaction

acceleration can be done by thermal or DT/DD fusion to generate high energy neutron

streamline係因為一d boundary dragging同turbulence的問題所以"流線型"會順d

核燃料本身自己會放出中子.
佢地唔會加速中子,反而要用deteurium water黎減速,如果唔係會大爆炸/冇反應

講多少少，Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor先用Deuterium (Heavy Water) 去moderate to thermal spectrum...

其他PWR,BWR會用normal water去moderate但嗰enrichment就會大多Heavy Water Reactor少少
(3-5% Vs 0.7%)

而fast reactor就唔洗做moderation，只係要coolant...

仲有一隻係atomic beam經高voltage field accelerate, 打上cathode target後會出neutron beam,再做collimation

因為我都係物理系同路人，見樓主你讀到上pg仲搵到工所以有幾樣想問

1. 問d background嘢先，你undergrad嘅時候CGPA幾多？

2. 利申番先，我自己就掛住玩唔讀書，所以由一開始滿腔熱誠到依家淪為學渣。但我真係深深體會到物理依科真係唔係普通人讀得店。可能如果我當初比多d時間讀書唔洗墊底，但講緊gpa上3.3 or above真係冇天分係做唔到。大家讀過物理都明，好多時d問題有d位係靠天分突然叮一聲諗到個key point之後就解答到。想問下樓主對於「讀物理讀得好一定要靠天分」有咩睇法？

3. 見樓主好似有讀medical physics嘅嘢？唔知你點睇medical phy對將來搵工有冇幫助？前景如何？

一分天分九分努力,無論你讀咩都係咁

3. 係香港就算鳩數,一個位成百人爭,有fd好好運入到,但入左去都唔係做physics野的,文書野仲多

7 years means:

Bachelor 4 years

HKCEE + HKALE 4 years + Bachelor 3 years
