銀行工作前景討論

Our Commercial banking business focus on interest income, of which the profit margin has been squeezed in recent low interest rate period.

I do feel retail front line is now having a better pay thanks to their focus on non-interest income(which is not related to credit risk, and in favour to management when compared with interest income). But i would be tired of being asked to meet the Target everyday and keep making cold call to customer of whom I know little about them.

After all it is just a choice of lifestyle. I got both offer from retail and commercial front line when i was a fresh graduate. And i chose commercial.

Big bank or small bank? My bank is so tight on credit that i can hardly refer any quality client who meet our risk appetite. I am quite pissed since it also hinders my growth in the sense that promotion is actually based on how much new business you can solicit.

50-60k is quite good given that Bonus not included (4-6months). And yes, it cannot be compared with ibank FO income but i am pretty sure it is well above average graduates doing.
