Hello world! KS here~ I hope you all are having a great week!
As always, this update contains a lot of content. I estimate it will have maybe 15% more content than V0.3. I prefer to give players a lot of contents in every update.
I will fix all of the reported bugs so far altogether in v0.4. I will also try to implement a codex page into the game as requested. The UI will be slightly customized. However, I will still try to keep everything simple.
The Last Two Months
I've been hard at work the past two months, trying to develop a better workflow for myself. I've also been writing and improving the whole world settings for New Horizon Universe. I've even written a whole paragraph of background settings just for a specific tree in the game. Needless to say, I want to achieve the kind of depth in story settings like Resident Evil etc.
I thought of everything and written everything myself, as I want to keep AI usage to minimal in terms of creative side of things. I merely use AI to help with organizing and spell-checking etc. I know AI can write better sounding paragraphs, but there's no soul in it. They merely copy what they learned from the training data from humans, and put them out in a faster pace. I'm doing this for my self-expression, to make connection on a human level with those who are willing to play this little game, and perhaps find some common ground or resonance in experiences that we all have, feelings we all have felt, or hardships that we all have gone through at some point in life.
I might work slow, but I've put all my best wishes and real feelings into the game.
A lot of work has been done, it's just that a lot of them don't manifest in the form of numbers or stats that gives people instant gratification. But they go a long way for helping me have a smoother and better development time in the future., things that will have actual impact.
I admit I should be more active here and other places. But when I've gone radio silent, that means I'm cooking (also just depressed). Things are improving though. I've finally gotten over some personal life hardships now, loss, breakups etc. Last year was tough but I guess it's just another character development episode for me, preparing me for more future challenges.
Changes to Tiers Benefits
I made some modifications to the Patreon tiers and benefits. For the most part I'm adding more benefits. First off, I should clarify that I increase Gang Boss price from 9$ to 10$, and Thug from 5.5$ to 6$ due to inflation. These change in prices will only affect new members. For old members, if you've been pledging since before the change, you will still be charged the old price every month.
Also regarding the increase in platform fee on iOS apps, I chose to take the loss myself, so you won't need to pay extra. Therefore, if you can, please don't pay through iOS app, and do it through the web. That way I won't take any loss due to the increased fee on iOS.
The following are the additions to their monthly benefits:
- 3$ Classmate will have 1 randomly selected SFW wallpaper from the previous month.
- 6$ Thug will have 1 SFW wallpaper for each main girl plus 1 side girl(poll for each month)
- 10$ Gang Boss will have 1 NSFW wallpaper for each main girl
- 25$ Tsuki can vote to decide which girl get 1 additional NSFW scene in next update
- 50$ Eclipse has no changes
- 99$ Maverick has no changes
Regarding Previous Statements
Some people thought that I don't take feedback or criticism probably because of the previous post. That was referring the the hateful and useless comments about the game, those were not feedback nor criticism. That was for those who take shot at whatever that remotely suggest NTR in the slightest with no good reason. None of them are a game supporter either. That just tells you how much their "opinions" actually weighs. Perhaps I didn't word it well, but that was the gist of it.
I always say, it's fine if you don't like her because of her story, and you can opt out of her route at any time. She will stay in the game and her story won't change. I've already written it all out, about her story and the background. And I will say this again, her story doesn't contain NTR element. You'll see in future updates as it unfolds.
In some ways, I can't really blame some people since they can't see the full picture of her story yet, and it has only just started, but I was surprised at the amount of pure hate comments about it. Some people even started arguments in the comments on my itch page. I wonder why they got so much time and energy to waste there, I barely have time to rest and make my game. I only check that place periodically and every time it gets ridiculous there.
But of course, if there are people with actual feedback or constructive criticism, I always try to read them and see where I can improve or include them in the game. I don't reply to all of them, because I get a lot and I'm so busy I really don't have time to get to all of them, but I do take notes.
Anyway, thanks to those who provided useful feedback, whether you like the game or not. Thanks to all of you who support the game.

Radiant Chapter 8 - Progress Report #1 (Public)

Sorry this one took a little while.
While I don't have a whole lot to report so far... things are very much progressing smoothly on Chapter 8: we've fully completed the first 4 out of 16 scenes, and scenes 5 and 6 are well under way/close to being completed as well (which you can see in the recently updated Progress Tracker).
This puts us at roughly 30% completion.
While I won't make the mistake of making any "promises" about deadlines and timelines, we are trying our best to keep the timing for this one short / to prevent a repeat of the delays that happened while working on Chapter 7. Considering our rate of progress so far, it's likely the wait for Ch8 will be MUCH shorter.
Thanks as always for the support, and I love you guys. I'll try posting the next report in about four weeks. It will be sub-only and will include many previews! Love you all.
