If continue the support which excludes advanced weapons, the war will only drag on with minimal benefit
If stop the support and arrange a peace talk, that implies a Russian victory and a US defeat. Don’t think the proud Americans will be appreciated
In other words, neither decision brings clear benefit
In my opinion, a drastic and bold action has to be taken to break through this bottleneck. That’s to significantly increase the supply for Ukraine in order to swiftly drive Russians out of the occupied territory, excluding Crimea
If this objective can be achieved, that means America and her allies once again triumph over Russia. This will remarkably boost American reputation and morale, not to mention the popularity of and confidence in Biden. Americans who are indulged in the victorious sentiment will forget the hefty military budget and hail Biden’s leadership.
The point is that Americans are outraged by the heavy military budget for the foreign war, and this discontent will probably be reflected in the coming presidential vote if no drastic measure is taken by Biden
This will remain a proxy war in which US direct involvement will not occur.
To quickly end this war, America has to send over advanced weapons which enable Ukraine to forcefully hit back without sacrificing a large number of troops.
With the superiority in weaponry, the objective is achievable even Ukraine lacks personnel

To supplement, I would like to point out a problem on this matter which is the lack of sufficiently skilled personnel in the Ukrainian army.
Even America is willing to provide advanced weapons, the Ukrainian personnel has to undergo certain period of training before being able to use the weapons efficiently
