Mundo Deportivo says Bayern are keen to prise De Jong away from Barca and are in regular contact with his agent, Ali Dursun.
Bayern were keen on De Jong when he was with Ajax, before he left for Barca last year, and have remained keen.
They've now asked Dursun to keep them informed of De Jong's situation and should he become available.
And there's a belief in Munich that Barca could be willing to sell given their struggling finances.
