HAMMERS TO MEET GOMEZ CLAUSE
West Ham have met the €50m (£44.8m) release clause for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News understands discussions ongoing over method of payment, with West Ham promising to pay the full amount in instalments.
The release clause cannot be triggered until the full amount is lodged at La Liga HQ in Madrid.

Aleksandar Mitrovic agrees new contract at Fulham that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2024.
“I feel great," Mitrovic said. "I’m really happy and I’m looking forward to playing here next season,” Mitrović told fulhamfctv. “There were a lot of clubs interested but in the end I decided to stay here because I’m really happy and settled at Fulham. My kids, wife, all my family are happy here. This is my home and I am really happy to sign a new deal.
“Since the first day I came here I have received a great reception from everyone in the Club and the fans. I feel motivated and every morning when I come here to work I am happy. I have found my happiness and passion here.”

Matthijs de Ligt's agent Mino Raiola confirmed last night that his client has agreed personal terms with Juventus.

According to Sky in Italy:
The agreement is £10.8m (€12m) per year, which equates to around £230,000 per week.
Ajax are asking for a fee of £67.3m (€75m).
Juventus are so far offering to pay £49.3 (€55m) plus £9m in bonuses (€10m).
