No I don't. I work in Amsterdam actually, but I do read a lot about technical migration for different countries because I am always looking for a way out.

Do you like Amsterdam? Would you recommend HK ppl to immigrate there? Culture 冇得輸，淨係electronic music 都已經贏曬

I'm almost done, have been working here for 5 years already and now awaiting my integration exam results, I can then start my citizenship application, takes maybe another half a year I bet.

I basically was lucky enough to get hired from abroad as high skilled immigrant, they call it KM here.

Amsterdam is fine, they've got this huge EDM parties event every year. Hong Kong people community is relatively small comparing to London, and just English would be enough for daily usage.

Pros:
5 yrs for citizenship (at the moment, likely to be incremented to 7)
No Dutch language prerequisite as most people here speak English
Good work life balance (except for legal sector)
Food is fresh

Cons:
Weather could be terrible for Hong Kong people
A2 level Dutch is required for naturalization exams (at the moment, likely to be raised to B2 in near future)

Depends:
Inclusiveness
LGBTQ+ blah blah blah
House price together with rent is getting more and more expensive, still way more affordable than HK

I won't need blue card if I've got my citizenship coz the rights of citizenship overrides those of blue card. And yes, I'm mostly waiting things to happen for now lol.

For a degree, TBH I might do it after I've obtained citizenship, coz there would be a 80-90% discount. BTW, both countries are well aware of the existence of BNO, so don't even try to claim yourself as EU citizens, they won't let you through.

(舊制係GCSE, AS level再A level, GCSE fail左邊科可以俾錢淨retake 0個科邊retake邊讀lower 6 AS level 4 courses, upper 6 drop 一科，以AS level grade經UCAS報大學，等interview 同un/conditional offer)

新制係GCSE讀科多左，fail到一定程度唔夠分上A level要全年重讀，cut左AS Level 4科，用GCSE grade 報大學，之後lower 同upper 6兩年淨讀A Level考大學，A level 仲有A* grade )

所以某程度上英國教育制度係倒退緊，睇下今年GCSE幾多人叫苦連天屌個試難
但個個香港學生家長都仲係的個仔去英國讀 咪讀番你個年代既會考囉on鳩，IB香港國際學校都有點解要飛去英國老蓮咁遠去讀，都係咁貴

但美國同英國大學點都出名過加拿大，第時個仔女讀得成書個朵都響過加拿大grad既講真

治安，英國最多咪冧友同打人，槍聲我住幾年聽過一下咁多

Yes, but highly skilled immigrants have nothing to do with blue card. Blue card is for people that are already working in Europe for some time, a status that also allows you to work elsewhere within Europe.
