Singapore is difficult to get passport, I know an Indian guy that scored top 2% and still go rejected, they currently only favour Malaysian and/or Indonesian.

And PR from Singapore is also not a good thing, first you have to actually live there (some fixed amount of days of residency per year) to retain the status; second they actually want to kick you out, I heard stories where only the guy gets the PR but not his wife, which eventually the guy would leave too.

You first have to be PR in order to be eligible for government housing, also they won’t allow such if you have a house in foreign country.

Just saying, working in Singapore is extremely competitive and demanding. I'd say it's not something one would usually enjoy.

For technical immigrants, I'd say at the moment the easiest is really UK or Australia, which takes 5 and 4 respectively, and less language barrier.

Investment is another story.

For the record, they are lowering the bar A LOT comparing to 5 years ago, my guess is that their population is aging and at a point, there are not enough work force to sustain.

As far as I remember yes, it's 5 years. But I also read some article saying it expires after 6 months if you left the country, forgot the source though sorry. T_T
