想分享下自己嘅經驗同當地朋友教嘅tips 希望可以幫到努力揾緊工嘅你地
1. CV
見好多人都可以知上網揾CV template
所以CV格式我就唔多講啦
但寫CV有一個common mistake要注意
當你寫你嘅work experience時
要寫嘅應該係你做嗰份工有啲咩achievement
而唔係你嗰份工嘅responsibility
老實講 100個人做同一份工 都係同樣嘅職責
但你喺做嗰份工時嘅achievements 係只有你先有
例如 如果你做過sales嘅
唔好淨係寫maintained shop floor presentation
可以寫took initiative to organise and maintain shop floors to ensure they are well presented at all times
可以嘅話 最好就quantify你嘅achievements
例如可以寫你每日平均幫到幾多個客 舖頭每個月做到幾多生意等等
而唔係淨係寫自己嘅職責係serving customers
CV有位嘅話 可以選擇寫可自己平時嘅興趣
公司可以根據你寫嘅interests去跟深入了解你識唔識合嚟份工
例如踢波 hockey嚟啲團體運動 會令對方感覺你係一個team player
鍾意畫畫表示你有創意
築棋可以證明你係一個strategic thinker
身邊有做developer嘅 揾工時份CV真係寫自己鍾意打機
Interview時仲同對方講games ignited my passion for anything technology related when I was young
最尾又真係比佢攞到offer
申請每一份工之前
建議大家highlight個listing上面嘅key words
然後改下自己份CV先好apply
因為如果你份CV冇公司要嘅key words有可能會pass唔到ATS scan
通常最重要嘅key words都係集中係responsibilities/about this role
當然嚟個step唔係一定要做 但如果pass唔到ATS scan嘅公司好多時都唔會睇你份CV
2. 揾工平台
個人推薦用LinkedIn
因為LinkedIn唔單止可以揾工 仲可以networking
例如當你apply左一份工
而你見到你有校友目前係嗰間工司做緊野嘅
你可以message對方
睇下人地介唔介意同你傾下計 講下佢係嚟一間公司嘅工作體驗 公司嘅company culture等等
Sample message:
Hi [對方first name]! How are you doing? I’m a fellow alumni of [學校] and I am currently looking to apply for the [job title] opening in [公司名]. I saw on your LinkedIn profile that you have worked for this company for [對方年資] and was hoping if you would be happy to share some advices about the recruitment process with me as I am having trouble with navigating the current job market. Please let me know if you would be interested in having a chat with me! I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and learn more about working in [公司名].

千其唔好怕羞 係英國揾工networking真係好有幫助
只要你有禮貌 對方又唔係太忙嘅話
好多時人地都會願意去同你傾下計 比下意見你
3. 面試
如果有得interview嘅
公司通常都會打電話比你同你約時間 之後會有confirmation email
Reject嘅就一般都只有email
建議大家唔好用私人電郵揾工 因為好容易因為啲online shopping嘅promotional email太多而miss左啲重要嘅email
同埋如果你申請嘅工全部都係唔同種類嘅
記得一定要寫翻低你邊間公司係apply咩職位
如果唔係嘅話HR打電話比你嘅時候會問你野問到你唔知點答好
目前大部分面試都仲係online
多數公司都係選擇用Microsoft Teams或Zoom
面試前可以係電腦裝定個app
Interview之前可以email HR了解一下company dress code
尤其是online interview 唔一定要著得好formal 斯文大方就已經ok
通常interview至少要in兩次
有啲工作會需要technical interview
記得面試前做好準備工作
上公司網記熟company values
