- I expected good results because the original work was good, the script was powerful, and the synergy between the production team and the actors was good, but I didn't know you would love it this much. Thank you.

VIDEO 1
There was a regret over the short episode, so at first, I discussed it with the writer as a 20 episode series, but due to the production conditions it aired as a 17-episode series.
Some suggested that Deok-im should accept the king's grace and end it, but the director said she wanted to end it with the original ending scene.

In the script for the ending scene of episode 3,
Above the bridge/day
"Deok-im reflected on the water surface looking at San on the water with a completely cold face," said they thought a lot and the CG team tried to make the scene look pretty.

In the case of the visual scene, Lee Se-young, who worked hard to identify Chinese characters for acting after identifying which line the letters are in.

Parts of ending of Ep5 that arenot in the script
1. San shed tears #LeeJunHo
2. Deokim went into the room n finished the line without interruption (#LeeSeyoung said to PD, "PD, I think I should go in and say the line now.")

#TheRedSleeve Director mentioned Blu-ray.
Originally, it was 16 episodes in the script, but as it was extended to 17 episodes, it will be organized into the existing planned ending.
I think it'll feel different from the previous ending.

Deok-im's see-off scene.
Originally, the script "Deokim" was with her friends and sending them off. Deok-im waving on the back of her friends was so sad.
It was the last scene where the court ladies were all together, so I didn't want to just let it go, directed it like Deok-im sending a piece of her heart to her friends.

Ji-in PD shared that #LeeJunHo did the narration after watching the ending scenes while #LeeSeYoung didn't. Thanks to this San's narration came out more emotional while Deok-im's came out more calm and contemplative.

I asked the actor to read the Korean-Chinese book, and the actor read the actual Korean-Chinese book.
The scene where she tried to control her emotions as much as possible, but the moment she checked the message left by her husband, I asked her to burst raw emotions.
"I got a ring even at this moment."

"a lot changed from the moment she saw the man she loved become the king. after he became king, there's not much she can do for him. though she knows he loves her, it came to a point where the only choice left is to become a consort"
"i don't think deokim wanted to be a consort. under the circumstances where she can't say many things, she could only say it through silence, expression, or narration. the smallest resistance she could make was silence."

Q. Deokim clearly expressed her feelings in the beginning gradually stopped expressing towards the end.
A. As someone who lives in the present, I feel frustrated too. Although deokim loved him,
alot of things will be different once he becomes the king. There are nothing much she can for him whrn he becomes the king. DI knows he loves her but her only choice was to become a concubine. I know DI never wanted to be one so in the situation where she can't talk freely, she can only express herself thru silence, narration and her gaze. At the very least, her resistance for choosing this fate was to remain silent and stop expressing herself. What god ji-in is trying to say is- think from deokim's perspective.
