Arsenal enquired about the availability of Chelsea star David Luiz during talks with the Blues regarding forward Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
Antonio Conte‘s side are believed to be closing in on a deal for the Frenchman with reports in Italy claiming Chelsea have agreed a £15m deal for the striker. The Gunners would rather not sell Giroud to a rival but they’re aware that sanctioning the move will set off a chain of events that will finally see them land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal to sign Jack Harrison from sister club New York City, according to Sky sources.
The England Under 21 winger has impressed since breaking through in MLS.

Thomas Lemar will not be joining Liverpool or Arsenal in January, Monaco's vice president has said.
Vadim Vasilyev told Sky Sports News in October last year that Monaco would wait until at least the end of the 2017-18 season before allowing Lemar to leave.
"He will stay at Monaco until the end of the season 100 per cent," Vasilyev told RMC, a French radio station, on Tuesday.
"If Liverpool or Arsenal come with a big offer before the end of the market? This is not relevant.
"We will say 'no' because the objectives are clear. Without important players like Lemar, we will not succeed."
