奧斯卡影后海倫米蘭再演女王！加盟HBO迷你影集《凱薩琳大帝》

就在 HBO 宣布三屆奧斯卡得主梅莉史翠普（Meryl Streep）加入《美麗心計》（Big Little Lies）第二季後，另一位奧斯卡影后未來也將在 HBO 小螢幕與觀眾見面。

英國老牌女星海倫米蘭（Helen Mirren）加盟 HBO 與歐洲 Sky 電視網聯合打造迷你影集《凱薩琳大帝》（暫譯，Catherine the Great），飾演俄羅斯帝國女皇凱薩琳大帝。

迷你影集《凱薩琳大帝》共四集，由《伊莉莎白一世》（Elizabeth I.）編劇奈吉威廉斯（Nigel Williams）執筆劇本，《頭號嫌犯》（Prime Suspect）艾美獎最佳導演菲利浦馬丁（Philip Martin）執導，《名畫的控訴》製作人大衛 M.湯普森（David M. Thompson）與海倫米蘭共同擔綱執行製作人。劇情探索凱薩琳大帝執政末期的政治波瀾，以及曾經與她非常親密的將領格里戈里波坦金（Grigory Potemkin）之間的情事。

《凱薩琳大帝》是 Sky 與 HBO 合製合約的第三部作品，前兩部是傑瑞德哈里斯主演迷你影集《車諾比》（Chernobyl），以及動作電影《全面突襲》導演蓋瑞斯艾文斯打造首部影集作品《倫敦黑幫》（Gangs of London）。

海倫米蘭 2006 年在《黛妃與女皇》中主演英國女王伊莉莎白二世，憑藉該角連奪威尼斯影展、英國金像獎、金球獎與奧斯卡的最佳女主角獎。特別的是她在迷你影集《伊莉莎白一世》飾演伊莉莎白一世，讓她在 2007 年金球獎上分別以兩個女王角色拿下影后與視后，儼然是女王最佳代言人。如今她將飾演「凱薩琳大帝」，外界更加期待這部影集的推出。

《凱薩琳大帝》預計 2019 年首播。

Damien Chazelle Drama Scores Straight-to-Series Order at Apple

Details of the series’ plot are being kept under wraps, but Chazelle will write and direct every episode of the series, as well as serving as executive producer. In addition to Chazelle, the series will be executive produced by Jordan Horowitz via his Original Headquarters banner, and Fred Berger for Automatik Entertainment. Media Rights Capital is the studio.

This also marks Chazelle’s second foray into streaming television. Previously, it was announced that he was attached to executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the musical drama “The Eddy” for Netflix. That series revolves around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. It will be shot in France, and will feature dialogue in French, English and Arabic. The Apple project, however, will be the first time Chazelle has written and directed every episode of a series.

Most recently, Apple ordered a comedy series starring Kristen Wiig that will be executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston will also star in a morning show drama for the streamer, and she will executive produce “Are You Sleeping,” co-produced by Chernin Entertainment with Octavia Spencer attached to star.

Apple is also prepping a reboot of “Amazing Stories” from executive producer Steven Spielberg, Ron Moore’s untitled space race drama, the drama “See” from Steven Knight and Francis Lawrence, and the docuseries “Home” from Matt Tyrnauer and Matthew Weaver.
