有啲人又話要等全日 - well I waited for half a day for mine. My appointment was at 2pm and I was not seen by a Home Office employee until 3:30pm. Interview took ten minutes and I was told to pay for my ILR by 4pm.

令我諗番起以前Schneider 有條法國佬去我地廠audit ，佢唔叉識中文，所以帶著個上海妹做翻譯，果條上海妹真係

Congratulations - remember to apply for British Citizenship once you meet the requirements as ILR can be revoked if you live outside of the UK for more than two years.

Another point is that from now on, your child born in the UK will automatically become a British Citizen.

Congratulations - remember to apply for British Citizenship once you meet the requirements as ILR can be revoked if you live outside of the UK for more than two years.

Another point is that from now on, your child born in the UK will automatically become a British Citizen.

Yes and No - it is true that Malaysia does not allow dual nationality. This means that any Malaysian who become a British Citizen will lose his/her Malaysian citizenship.

However, she can apply for British Citizenship and then get a certificate of entitlement on her Malaysian passport instead of getting a British Citizen passport to show that she has the right of abode in the UK.

其實有乜分別

Two differences -

1) Holders of a passport with Certificate of Entitlement can use the British Citizen passport counters when entering the UK.

2) British Citizen status will not be lost even after prolong absents from the UK, while ILR can be lost after absences from the UK for more than 2 years.
